David Hockney's Digital Drawings Exhibition

British artist David Hockney's current exhibition entitle "Fleurs Franiches" are digital drawings made with his iPad and iPhone and are the first of their kind to be seen in a gallery. This show is the most exciting thing I have seen all year, and for that matter, for the past few years.  The exhibition is being held at the Foundation Pierre Berge'-Yves Saint Laurent in Paris, France from October 20, 2010 to January 30, 2011.  This is the first time an entire exhibition portfolio has been submitted to the gallery totally by email. It is the first entirely digital art exhibition in an art gallery, but I am sure it is only the first of many more to come. For a more in depth look at this great new medium of art that is currently taking root,  go to the Art Daily website here. Or you can here about it on NPR here.
